Want to learn about the geology of Iceland from a local geoscientist, but don't have all day? Join them at the Perlan Museum just outside downtown Reykjavik, where we will discuss the geology of Reykjavik and Iceland in cozy Museum cafe and panoramic viewing balcony. 

Start your tour with a stroll along the 360° viewing platform that houses an impressive collection of local volcanic and volcaniclastic rocks. Next we will move into the warm glass domed cafe on the top floor of the museum, where we will look at maps, photographs, and charts, detailing Iceland's geology. We can even stop for a kaffi and sörur too. We will finish the tour walking through the geology section of this museum, and finish right on time for you to hop into the next showing of the volcano eruption movie.
